Flora Belle Marrs, 100, of Waco went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, May 14, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Dr Randy Hughes, Rev. Marcelo Oliveira and Rev. Tony Valdez officiating. A private burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The visitation will immediately precede the service from 9-10 a.m. at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, at 3124 Robinson Drive.
Flora Belle was born September 16, 1921, in Lorena to Isaac Hamilton and Bessie Mae Bufkin. She married the love of her life, Orvis Warren Marrs, on July 27, 1939. She was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for 79 years, where she taught children in Sunday School for over 70 years. She loved children, especially babies. She made special blankets for all her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She loved to cook, sew, fish, and spend time with her family. She worked as a bookkeeper for Garrett-Marrs Roofing Company and Johnson Roofing Company.
Flora Belle was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years; her parents; brothers: IH Jr (Buster), James, Edwin, Billy; sisters: Thelma, Mabel, Ruby.
Flora Belle is survived by sons, James Tony Marrs, and Gary Warren Marrs and wife, Linda; daughter, Linda Sue Oberg and husband, Lance; grandchildren, Laura, Jana, Lisa, Scott, Jamie, Jared, Brian, Leah; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Jonathan, Andrew, Joseph, Jessica, Arthur, Adam, Olivia, Kellan, Devaney, Brayden, Finn, Elliana, Adelyn, Mariah, Braxley, Everett, Xander, Adiella, Owen; one sister, Maxine Leaser; and many special nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Scott, Brian, and Jared Marrs, Jeff Luce, Jeff Bach, Brand Howard, Tony Valdez, and Brett Janssen.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1801 Gurley Ave., Waco Texas, 76706.

I grew up at Emmanuel Baptist Church. I was baptized and got married there. I have fond memories of Mr. and Mrs. Marrs, such wonderful Christian people. Sincere sympathy to the family.
