Frank Koen Obituary

Koen, Frank

Oct 8, 1950 - Oct 1, 2024

Frank Koen, a pillar of strength and love, passed away on October 1, 2024, at the age of 73, in Kingwood, Texas. Born on October 8, 1950, in Waco, Texas, Frank was a man whose life was marked by dedication and a profound love for family.

A graduate of Mart High School, Frank dedicated 50 years of his life to Central Texas Iron Works, where he thrived as a steel worker. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he proudly served in the Marines Reserves for four years, embodying the true spirit of service and commitment.

Frank's personality was simple and quiet. He was a man of few words, yet those who knew him were always aware of where they stood in his life. Frank was an incredible listener, and his ability to connect with people made him a genuine friend to many. His great sense of humor brought joy to countless gatherings, while building and strengthening friendships throughout his life.

He invested wholeheartedly in the lives of his children, fostering deep and meaningful connections that would last a lifetime. Whether it was attending sporting events with his sons, traveling, or enjoying shopping and lunches with Frankie and "Roz", Frank truly cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He also found joy in gardening alongside Frankie, and was an avid reader.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Frankie; their children, Marshall (Frank) Koen III and wife Shannon, Steven Koen and wife Miranda, Stella "Roz" Craig and husband Ronnie, Sr.; grandchildren, Carter Koen, Madison Koen, Presleigh Juarez and husband Carter, Payton Koen, Paxton Koen, Ronnie Craig, Jr. and wife Alesha, and Katelyn Craig; as well as great-grandchildren, Cohen Juarez and Canaan Juarez. He is also survived by his brother, Albie "Bud" Koen and wife Vickie; sister, Marsha Connally; and a multitude of extended family and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Frances Koen.

Visitation will be held on October 9, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Grace Gardens Funeral Home & Crematorium, located at 8220 Woodway Dr, Woodway, TX 76712. The funeral service will follow, at 11:00 AM.

We are heartbroken to hear about your loss. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
Some of our family´s fondest memories were made at the little league fields, watching Edward and Frank coach, and at the school booster club, where we worked in the concessions and shared laughter over meals after home games. Frank's warmth and spirit touched so many lives, and he will be deeply missed.
If there´s anything we can do to support you, please don´t hesitate to reach out.

With our heartfelt sympathy,
The McAdams Family
