Ronald Watts Obituary

Ronald Everett Watts, 68, of Waco, passed away Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, at a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Ronnie was born on Aug. 15, 1938, in Gatesville, to Nell and Everett Watts. Most of his school years were spent at La Vega, but he graduated from University High School. On Aug. 19, 1955, he married Jane McGowan. He then followed his Dad in to the sheetmetal trade for 25 years. Early retirement gave him plenty of time for his favorite sport - Texas Hold 'Em. During his lifetime, he was blessed with many friends that meant so much to him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nell Watts. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jane Watts; father and step-mother, Everett and Helen Watts; sister, Angie Averhoff; brother, Brian "Rocky" Watts; and last but not least, 47 beloved nieces and nephews. Ronnie was a father figure to some of them, but to Katlyn, Chance, and Thomas he was "Grandpa Ronnie." In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity or church of you choice. Grandma Janie
If not for you and Ronny my life would have been unbearable.
At times you both should have given up on me,but did not. For a couple to not have children of your own, you have given your love and home to many.I may not show or say it enough but I Love you and Grandpa Ronny with all my heart.
