ANN DUNBAR Obituary


ANN DUNBAR  
Ann Elizabeth (Murray) Dunbar, of Bethesda, died December 1, 2018, at age 73, of sarcoma. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Ann Dunbar and son-in-law, Raburn Mallory, of Bethesda, and daughter, Laura Dunbar Bower and son-in-law, Daniel Bower, of Louisville, two grandsons and four granddaughters and three sisters. She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers. A former federal government economist who retired from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, Ann was active in many economics groups, including both the National Economists Club and the National Association for Business Economics, where she held leadership posts. The family will hold a celebration of life on January 12 at 2 p.m. at River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation (6301 River Road, Bethesda), where Ann was a member and taught Sunday school. Ann and I went to some conferences together a few years ago at Bard College. She was a good and interesting companion. I am going to miss seeing her at economist club events. Condolences to her family, to whom she was devoted.
