Oh I just heard and so sorry to hear. Dr. Chang was the best! She had such welcoming attitude with Everyone! So easy to talk with. Her and eye shared many heartfelt conversations. Such a sweet woman. To her family I am sorry for your loss and to the medical community and Kaiser family.

Sincere condolences to Henry and sons and their families on the loss of Betty. Although we haven't seen one another for decades, as fellow Burning Tree School mothers we shared many happy moments when our children played together. We had fun watching Chris and Robert grow. Betty was always gentle and kind, with that beautiful warm smile that made everyone feel better about everything. May she rest in peace.

To all of Dr Chang's family, I want to extend my sincerest condolences. I was one of her patients for many years at KP Kensington and Gaithersburg. Although I haven't seen her in a few years, she has always remained in my thoughts. She was an absolutely exemplary physician in so many ways and I continue to cite her as one of the very best. A visit with her was not a visit with a doctor, it was a visit with a friend. I swear that at least half of every visit was spent on "catching up" about life, work, and everything each of us was doing. She was incredibly proud of her sons and shared updates. I saw pictures of graduations, weddings, and grandchildren. We had a number of colleagues and friends in common and I could always count on her to recommend someone as a specialist when I was looking for a research contact. One conversation that I will always remember was when she had asked me how my allergies had been during the past year. I told her about the one bad day when all trees blossomed while I was at a meeting in Atlanta. On that day, I was surrounded by allergists, all of whom she knew well. She just laughed and gave her wonderful smile that I had been there with all of them. I always think of how one of them described her when she said, "Betty Chang is good people!" I could not agree more. She will be remembered very fondly.

Dear Dr. Chang and family,
I was shocked and saddened to read about Dr. Chang's passing. She was a kind person-- a doctor whom I trusted implicitly --very professional, hardworking, knowledgeable, and caring. She wanted the best for everyone (her family, friends, staff, and patients), and she brought out the best in everyone. I never heard her say a mean word about anyone. She exemplified class.
I had the privilege of working with her as an allergy nurse and having her be a part of my training from the time I began working at Kaiser Permanente in 1993, and then intermittently until I retired. I will never forget her and will try to use the qualities that she exemplified in my interactions with others.
Her memory is a blessing.
My sincere condolences to you.

Dr Chang was instrumental in solving both my boys´ asthmas and allergies from the time they were 2 (they´re 18 and 21 now). As their doctor but her care carried beyond the office and she knew their milestones and always checked in with them if she hadn´t seen them for a while. I wouldn´t have trusted their care with anyone but Dr Chang and we have her to thank for 2 thriving young men who are active in sports without issues. Such a huge loss to the medical community and the families that she impacted throughout her career.
