Of 41 Langwell Ave., Asheville, NC 28806, died Wednesday, January 12, 2005. Ceel lived in Washington, DC, before moving to Asheville. She was co-author of the "Cool Careers for Girls" book series and a noted editor who created award-winning magazines. Ceel was secretary of the WENOCA Chapter, Sierra Club, and a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Asheville (UUCA). Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Lissa and Walter Freeman of Peekskill, NY; her son, Nicholas of Deltona, FL; her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Patricia Waldsmith of Bay St. Louis, MS; a niece and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Unitarian Universalist Church of Asheville at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 23, 2005. Condolences can be sent to the family at Ceel's home.
