I will never forget Danny's kindness in travelling to Iowa in the frigid February 1982 weather for my mother's funeral. He was accompanied by our Uncle Walter.

What I'll miss are our ''old man'' observations about the state of the world. At least we can be grateful for the treasure trove of good memories. He was a key member of the Thursday night crew. He will not be forgotten. Dan spoke a language we could all understand. It's called the Smile. :)

I worked with Dan at both the Wheaton Library and the Wheaton Interim Library. Dan always had a kind word for everyone on staff. Dan always asked everyone how they were and actually cared to hear the answer. Truly a great guy to know and work with. My condolences to his entire family.

The world is a better place because God blessed us with Dan.
His friends at Archbishop Molloy will forever remain in awe of the spiritual and dignified way he confronted the unimaginable loss of both his parents at such an early age.
There are many things to be grateful for, having Dan Marsh impact your life in so many positive and constructive ways ranks there up at the top.

It's so hard to believe that Dan is gone. I had the pleasure of working with him at the Wheaton Interm Library. He always had a story to share and spoiled the staff with donuts many times. He will be greatly missed by customers and staff. I send my condolences to his wife, daughter and family. Dan was a great guy and will always be remembered for his kindness.

The important things to remember about Dan Marsh are his consummate integrity in all matters, his incomparable eloquence and insightfulness, his sly sense of humor, and - maybe most important of all - his intellectual and physical courage. -J.E. Norris, His Brother In All Things But Birth
