To the Combs Family may God continue to hold you in the palm of His hand during your time of sorrow. Sgt. Combs was a gentle kind soul underneath all the huff and puff he always talked about his son who made him very proud.

For all that have posted in the Guest Book, thank you. Many of your were understandably shocked and saddened by Dad's death. Please let me comfort you to know that he was in close contact with family in the days right up to his passing, and his last wishes were that his only grandson get a computer for Christmas that year, which did come to pass. Dad had purchased the computer with all the bells and whistles, but didn't have the strength to get it shipped. It was there, in his apartment, still in the box with the receipt attached. Dad lived out his last days the way he desired to live them, and he was surrounded by his books, his horseracing forms and mementos.
