DONALD KENINITZ  
Recently of Mechanicsville, VA and formerly of Springfield, VA, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2015. Don was born in Centralia, PA on May 31, 1932. He and his wife Mary enjoyed 56 years of marriage and nurtured a large and loving family. Don always welcomed and embraced friends and extended family into his life and into his home. He spent many years as a youth soccer coach, including coaching teams for his youngest son and daughter. He delighted in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was part owner of, and retired from a family business, Special Products Transfer.He is survived by his sons Donald P. (Jennifer) Keninitz, Germantown, MD, and David Keninitz, Springfield, VA; daughters Mary (Debbie) Keninitz, Alexandria, VA, and Barbara (Tommy) Eaves, Mechanicsville, VA; daughter-in-law Laurie Keninitz; granddaughter Lindsay (Josh) Ballance; grandsons Josh Eaves, Jake (Brandi) Eaves, Zach, Nick, Nate and AJ Keninitz; great-grandsons Eli and Beau Ballance; great-granddaughters Berkley and Avery Eaves, and Elaina Ballance; sisters Olga Jones, Kathleen Andreano and Kay Taylor; Brother Steve Keninitz. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Keninitz, his son Andrew Keninitz, four brothers and five sisters.Relatives and friends may call at Jefferson Funeral Chapel, 5755 Castlewellan Dr., Alexandria, VA, Friday, June 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 5121 Woodland Way, Annandale, VA 22003, Saturday, June 27, at 11:30 a.m. Interment Fairfax Memorial Park.
