Departed this life on Thursday, November 25, 2004 at Holy Cross Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Beloved husband of Edith J. Johnson; devoted father of Venessa A. Johnson. He also leaves two sisters, Betty Gray and Joanne Jenkins; one brother, Leonard L. Johnson; godmother, Margaret Love; sister-in-law Patricia Smith; three brothers-in-law, Alfred Gray, James Jenkins and Raymond Smith; a host of neices, nephews, other reatives and friends. Family will recieve friends at the Good Hope Union United Methodist Church, 14680 Good Hope Road, Silver Spring, MD on Saturday, December 4, 2004 from 10 a.m. unitl funeral services at 11 a.m., Rev. Dr. I. Mills officiating. Interment Parklawn Memorial Park. Services by SNOWDEN FUNERAL HOME.

Doug my tears are of joy that now you are walking into the gates of heaven. Edith and Vanessa I loved Doug so much and I will never forget him. Doug was the only person who would and did call me fat and got away with it. I luv guys. Ms Avis

Edith and Vanessa, I am crying as I type this. I know he is in a better place. I loved Doug. He was my best male friend that I have ever had. He also was the only person in this world could get away with calling me fat. I will never forget him. I love you guys
