An outstanding human being and a first class intellectual. Had many professional dealings with Ian when hen helped to fashion the rules of ERISA early in its existence and thereafter since he left the DOL. Our professional dealings led to several personal outings together. He was a person others just wanted to be around. He will be missed by many. Condolences to his family and friends.
