JAMES K. LYNCH
On Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Devoted husband of Dolores C. Lynch; beloved father of James E. (Laura), Patrick M., Marie D. (Mark) Russo, Joseph T. (Lisa), Sean P. (Stephanie), and Katie M. (Greg) Rizzo; brother of Monsignor Edward Lynch; brother-in-law of Helen Lynch-Kelly. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother and two sisters. Visitation at Borgwardt Funeral Home, 4400 Powder Mill Rd., Beltsville, MD, Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11007 Montgomery Rd., Beltsville, MD on Monday, November 11 at 10 a.m. Interment Brightview Cemetery, Warrenton, VA. Contributions to above-named church or the Catholic League.

I worked with Jim at ARS back in the late 70's through the time he retired. He was a kind and gentle man and a great person to work with. He also taught me some of the HR rules and regs when we worked together on the same team. I also knew him to be a great family man. I remember his youngest child was born in the same year I was having my second child. So sorry to the Lynch family for your loss.

I worked closely with Jim at ARS. He taught me the ropes servicing Plant Sciences Institute and introduced me to the Director. He was one of my most favorite people to work with in my 33 years there now. He had the best heart and sense of humor.
