Anther distinguished American Patriot Soldier and Clemson Alum now rests in honored glory at God's newest Angel! Jim and I met as Clemson "Rats" and enjoyed a long friendship through our mutual CU and military friends. While we went different routes since being commissioned thru ROTC, we both were honored to serve our great country during the Vietnam War and many military bases and countries throughout our decades of selfless military service. I know Jim's dedicated service was known by the moniker "Duty-Honor-Country" as evidenced by his being awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart as a helicopter pilot in combat. Clemson has a very long tradition of providing the Army and Air Force with exceptional officers who valiantly served in both peacetime and wartime and Jim was the epitome of this long line of faithful service. "Where The Blue Ridge Yawns Its greatness, Where The Tigers Play..................." May God's merciful grace and loving hand provide comfort to all Jim's loved ones and many friends as they long remember the sterling legacy of this man who exemplified "A Clemson Man Needs No Introduction!" Earl Hansford Grubbs, CU67 Retired Army Airborne Ranger Aviator
