Michelle,
John and I dated first semester of senior year, and he had a lasting impression on me. At the time, I took myself — and everything — very seriously. John, of course, did not. In our time together, his exuberance helped me to lighten up and for that I was forever grateful. After our amicable parting, we lost touch, but he always has held a warm place in my heart for the influence he had on me. After a lifetime together, his impact on you and your children must be immeasurable.
My deepest sympathies.
