FITTIPALDI JOSEPH THOMAS FITTIPALDI (Age 90) On Tuesday, April 21, 2009 of Bethesda, MD. Beloved husband of Mary Claire Maloy Fittipaldi for 61 years. He is also survived by his sons Mark Francis Fittipaldi of Bethesda, MD, and Brian David Fittipaldi and his wife Mary Elizabeth Heron Fittipaldi of Santa Barbara, CA, grandchildren William Joseph, Charles Brian and Anna Kelly Fittipaldi, brother Frank N. Fittipaldi and sister Marian F. Bishop. Friends will be received at PUMPHREY''S BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE FUNERAL HOME, 7557 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD 20184, on Sunday, April 26 from 3 to 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 9601 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, MD 20814, on Monday, April 27 at 11 a.m. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday, July 17 at 9 a.m. (Those planning to attend the interment in July should meet at the main gate of Arlington Cemetery by 8:30 a.m.) In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of the National Capital Area, 5335 Wisconsin Ave., NW, Suite 300, Washington, DC 20015. Dear family of Joseph Fittipaldi,

I have very fond memories of Mr. Fittipaldi. Who could have grown up on Shelton St. and not think of him and his wonderful sense of humor and enthusiasm. The Fouth of July was always fun because of him. He was a man of faith, and always set a good example for us. He was truely one of the "greatest generation." The Sulkovsky family was truely blessed to have know him.
