KENNETH CLAYTON GROVES, 71, of Woodbridge, VA died on Monday, January 10, 2005 at Potomac Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends. He was a retired Air Force veteran who was last employed as a civil engineer at Ft. Myer. Ken will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by nine brothers and three sisters. He left behind many loved ones. Survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years Beatrice; seven children, Ernest Groves, Mary Ann Mandley and her husband Wayne, Robert Ryder and his wife Dixie, James Groves and his wife Kari, Danny Ryder, Kenny Ryder, Laura Lee Gluchowski, 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, with another due in April. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, at MOUNTCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, VA. A Mass of the Resurrecton will be held on Friday, January 14, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 12805 Valleywood Dr., Lake Ridge, VA. Interment with honors will be at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA. In lieu of flowers memorials for Kenneth Clayton Groves may be made to the American Cancer Society, 124 Park St. S.E., Vienna, VA 22180. Email condolences may be sent to [email protected].
