Marion Clark Obituary

Marion Keenus Clark, Sr., age 90, passed away February 23, 2024, in Waldorf, MD. He was born June 12, 1933, in Louellen, KY, to the late Arvel Clark Sr., and E. Beatrice Clark, of La Plata, MD. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elaine; and his brother, Arvel Clark, Jr. Keenus spent his early years living in Washington DC. He graduated from Chamberlain High School. As an adult, he and his family moved to Morningside, MD in the 1960's and 70's. In later years, he was a long-time resident of Waldorf, MD. In his early life, he was an excellent artist and enjoyed sketching and painting. He also enjoyed breeding and raising Arabian horses. His early career included proudly serving in the U.S. Army's 8th Infantry Division in the 1950's and later, managed shoe stores in P.G. County MD. In retirement he worked as a bus driver for Charles County Schools. He is survived by his sister, Shirley Anastasi; his four children, Juanita Hood, Sharon Wright, "Kenny" Clark, Keith Clark; and nine grandchildren, Laura Hood, Shauna Simpson (Tommy), Andrea Brady (Justin), Stephanie Gammon (Josh), Ashley Justice (Scotty), Rachel Quade (Sean), Roxanne Bangs (Jared), Jon and Gregory Clark; and five great-grandchildren, Madison, Tanner, MacKenzie, Alyssa and Harper. A private memorial service will be held later this summer. Contact his children for details.

I loved Keenus and will miss him, he could be hard but always looked out & wanted the best for me. I'll be forever grateful to have him as an uncle and a friend
