Merry was my son's teacher at Gaithersburg Middle last year. She was one of the most caring teachers I've ever known, and we were very grateful for her presence in his life. It was a disappointment when we returned to school this past fall and she had moved to a new school, and it's a terrible shame for her current students to have lost such a beautiful person in their lives.

Dear Family,
I had the honor of working with Merry for many years at Edgemeade. She was one of the best educators that I have ever known in my 26 years of teaching. Merry truly cared about her students and gave her all to everything she did. Our world is now a much poorer place without her spirit lighting the way for children in need. My thoughts, prayers and sympathy are with you all.

Merry will certainly be missed by many. She put her all into everything she did and worked hard for everything she got out of life. It is an honor to have had her as a sister. She left a legacy of good behind in the avocation she chose.

Dear Family,
I had the pleasure of working with Ms. King at Edgemeade, an alternative school for males, in Upper Marlboro, Md. Ms. King had a passion for teaching and desire to help others. Ms. King served as acting principal of Edgemeade and often gave me advice both educationally and personally. She was a dedicated educator. Merry will be truely missed.

Merry was an awesome teacher and a wonderful woman. She's shared many stories of her teaching experience with me and I know she truly loved her work and her students. It was her calling. She will be greatly and sadly missed.
