Mr. Rill. This is Stephen Schlichter. I am so saddened to learn of Mike's death. We were very good friends during our high school. I wish we would have maintained our relationship after school. He was one of my best friends in NCHS. To be blunt I covered his butt in high school and in games and HE did mine. Michael was a wonderful guy. Our high school song was "You gotta a friend" by Carolyn King. Michael signed my yearbook expression to me as "you got a friend." Please accept my condolences.
Stephen Schlichter.

I've worked for Mike for almost ten years. He was a gentleman, a very fair and supportive supervisor, and by all accounts, well-liked by all those who knew him. He always seemed to have such a bright outlook on life outside the office, especially in the past 5-6 years, which he spent with his loving wife Anne and adopted sons, Gabriel and Nicolas. At work, he was equally positive, and his subject matter knowledge and insight were relied upon and applauded by so many. We will miss his humor, good spirit and work ethic. He is simply irreplaceable. May God bless Mike, his wonderful family, and all those who mourn his loss.

Our thoughts go out to Mike's family. I will always remember Mike's beautiful smile. His smile was a mirror for his beautiful soul. Rob and I are so saddened to hear of his loss.

Mike was one of the kindest people I have ever known. An inspirational mentor and friend, gifted with truly remarkable intelligence and humility. I am very sorry to hear of his passing.
