MICHAEL D. SENDAR

Died: December 12, 2021
Michael Sendar died on December 12, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Luann Sinclair, and two children, Jake and Shawn Sendar.
Sendar was born in Staten Island, NY, and attended high school at Brooklyn Poly Prep. He graduated from the University of Rochester (BA Political Science, cum laude) and the University of Michigan Law School. He also held a Master of Law in Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center.
He started his legal career with the office of the chief counsel of the IRS and continued to practice law for over forty years, representing small businesses.
Sendar founded and ran Big Wheel Bikes in 1971, a multi-store retail chain in the metropolitan area.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, 2 p.m. at Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park, 14321 Comus Road, Clarksburg, MD 20871. The family will be observing Shiva Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Systems Atrophy Coalition (multiplesystematrophy.org).

I´m an old friend of Mike´s - a bike business colleague. Very sorry to hear of his passing - just found out the other day when I popped in the Arlington store to say hi.

I worked for Big Wheel Bikes for a short time. My Father was with WJLA and did a story about Vespa mopeds when they were first introduced. Years later I moved to Fort Lauderdale and now work across the street from what was a Big Wheel Bikes store. A legacy in my life, it started my path. Much better than Pitza. Sorry for your loss,.... but the memories....

I´m so sad to hear about Michael.
I adored him! We met in 1967 at University of Mi when he was a `waiter´ at DPhiE. Brando loved Michael the most back then. We will all miss Michael. I´m so sorry for you all. Take good care of each other.
