Nancy and I spent a few days exploring NYC together a few years back. We had a wonderful time, and every chance she got, she would pull out a scarf that she was crocheting. I was delighted at the end of our time together to receive the scarf as a gift, and still wear it. Sheila, your sister was a wonderful and warm person. I can't imagine what it must be like to lose her. May you derive some comfort from your family and friends in this most difficult time.

Ms. Costa was the best teacher I ever had, she was a bit tough but it was well meant and it shaped me into a great individual. The things she taught were very advanced and made me smarter than most 6th graders when I entered 6th grade. Becuase of her it was so easy to say, "Oh, yea I remember learning that in 5th grade" when the others were learning the subject for the first time. She was really good at teaching and will be missed a lot. I had her for the 2006-07 school year and was really looking forward for her to be teaching my brother this year. I couldnt believe she was gone. She will be forever missed.

Ms.Costa was one of the nicest teachers I ever had. She was my 5th grade teacher this past year. She was always helping me any way she could. I'll really miss her because when my sister grows up she wont be able to have the support Ms.Costa gave me in 5th grade.

I remember Nancy very fondly from her days at Norfolk Collegiate. She took Latin every year, so I got to know her quite well. Not only was she an excellent student, Nancy brought a lively attitude and interest to every class. I was not surprised to read that she was a teacher as well. I will think of her always, and hope this little memory eases the sorrow of losing her.
