TO THE FISHER FAMILY MY CONDOLENCES 1PET. 5:7 "THROW YOUR ANXIETY UPON GOD BECAUSE HE CARES FOR YOU".
July 10, 2015
Peggy Fisher was a dear and loyal friend I had the pleasure of meeting through NABW and FWI. I would echo Shirley Conley's remembrances about Peggy's courage in the face of her own perceived limitations. She had so much to give to others, and gave of herself freely, often against great odds. She was a caring and strong supporter of women in their quest for career equity and upward mobility, even when she, herself, was struggling with the same issues. A friend to all, our worlds were made better by her presence and love. Peggy will be greatly missed.

My memory of Peggy was her courage. She hated flying but flew all over the country to help women and make speeches that were educational and informational. She hated elevators and would wait until hundreds of people at large conferences would thin before she would enter one. She was a joy and did not let her fears hold her back from living.

My condolences to Peggy's family. I became acquainted with Peggy through NABW/FWI with her involvement at both the state, regional and national levels. Peggy and I traveled to Russia together with other FWI friends to inaugurate the first chapter in that country. Peggy was always a contributor of ideas, time and energy as well as a fun person.

Beautifully done, Joyce! Some of the old-timers will also remember Peggy's turn as Mimi in "Mrs. McThing" in the Blair High School theater production of the late 1950's (and a couple of the "antiques" like me can even recall the slumber parties of our early teens). A Blairite her whole life, wherever she lived or traveled, Peggy was a joy to know and be with -- she will be greatly missed but even more treasured as a friend (in my case, at least, for more than 60 years). Rest peacefully, Dear Friend, see you at the House.
