Ralph Mensah Obituary

Ralph E.G. Mensah of Uniontown, PA, formerly of Washington, DC, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, at Uniontown Hospital. Born on December 4, 1929, in Aworowa, Ghana, West Africa, he was the beloved son of Kwaku Mensah and Abena Donkor. Mr. Mensah primarily resided in the Washington, DC area. In 1968, he and his wife, Kay, traveled to Ghana to introduce her to his family. Shortly thereafter, in 1971, Mr. Mensah earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Federal City College in DC. He worked as an Information Officer at the Embassy of Ghana before dedicating over 20 years of service to the Mayflower Hotel. A devout and active member of Sligo Adventist Church in Takoma Park, MD, Mr. Mensah served faithfully as a Deacon for many years, and volunteered at the nearby Adventist Community Center. Surviving are his wife, Terill K. Mensah, Uniontown, PA; three sons, Nana Yaw Boakye Mensah, of Rockville, MD; Kofi Agyeman Mensah of Phoenix, AZ; John Kwaku Adjei Mensah of Mesa, AZ; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces in Ghana and abroad. He was predeceased by five brothers and one sister. Service scheduled for a later date. RIP.
