RENE HARRIS-EVANS
On Tuesday, May 7, 2013, RENE HARRIS EVANS. Mother of Rishona Harris and Matthew Evans; daughter of the Delores Harris; sister of Larry and Aaron Harris and Keith Washington. Also survived by other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Harris-Evans will lie in state at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 6477 Lincolnia Rd., Alexandria, VA on Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment National Harmony Memorial Park. Funeral services by BAKER-CHINN.

Aaron, you and your family have my family's deepest sympathy during your loss of Rene. I remember how we all started out together walking to Stanton Elementary together for years. We parted ways with me going to Douglass and you and Rene going to Kramer. Three years later, we all meant again at Anacostia. Please know that you are in thoughts and prayers always.

Renee fought a long good fight. As the song goes "He kept me, yes He kept me" God did that, she outlived the the time frame, I believed she made national record. God was good
to her. Harris-Evans family you have my prayers and God will keep each one of you, just look to the hills which cometh your strength and help and that comes from the Lord. Love your aunt
