Robert V. Stanek

Robert V. "Bob" Stanek, died on Sunday, February 16, 2025, after a brief illness. Bob was born on August 13, 1944, in Everson, Pennsylvania and was the son of the late Charles J. and Julia Ann Sikon Stanek. He was a graduate of Scottsdale High School Class of 1962. Bob continued his education at the Penn State University where he graduated in 1966 with a B.A. in English. He was employed by George Washington University Law School where he held the position of Associate Dean from 1974 to 2006.
Bob may be gone from this world, but his memory and pleasant smile will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. John Ralph Wallis, Bob's loving and devoted partner of 53 years; sister, Patricia A. Mehallick, from Everson, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Charles J. Stanek; his sister, Rosemary Brownfield; brothers-in-law Micheal R. Mehallick and Thomas Brownfield.
Committal services and Interment will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic church in Everson, PA at a date to be determined.
