On Friday, October 26, 2001 of Washington, D.C. Beloved husband of Samera H. McGavran; father of Michael N. McGavran and Sabrina Lutz; grandfather of Bella Lutz; brother of Frank J. McGavran, Springfield, VA; Jane Shelton, Columbus, OH and Meg Murray, Columbus, GA. Friends will be received at PUMPHREY'S BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE FUNERAL HOME, 7557 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD, on Wednesday November 14, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service at Ft. Myer Chapel, Thursday, November 15, at 3 p.m. Please assemble at Memorial Gate at 2:15 p.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
