Steve J. Golin

Steven Joseph Golin passed away on May 10, 2023, at age 66. He was above all a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Steve had a passion for his family, the outdoors, his mountain home, and his industry. He was often described as passionate and a "force". He was friendly and outgoing, filling any room with his special brand of energy. His family, friends and co-workers thought the world of him.

Steve is survived by his wife, Karen, his sons, Dan and Sean, his sister, Linda, and his grandchildren, Samantha, Henry, Leah and Emma.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations in his name can be made to the University of Iowa Center for Advancement Neurosurgery research fund. All funds will help to support pediatric research in overlooked and rare craniocervical conditions similar to the one affecting his grandson, Henry. Donation Link: givetoiowa.org/neurosurgeryfund

Dear Karen and Family, Oh my God. I have been thinking about Steve lately, and I thought I would do a little research to see what I could find out about him. We are so sorry for your family's loss. He was a great friend and so much more. As you may remember, we have a son also named Sean. In addition, Sean has a daughter also named Emma. We are still located in the Olympia area. We have left an email address for you (via legacy.com), in case you would like to talk. Much love to all of you, Bruce and Katrina Walton
