I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Shibaro at Fairfax hospital saved my life. I had about 15 minutes to live ! He knew what was wrong with me and told them to take me to the operating room immediately !! He was the BOSS in that hospital , he knew his job was very good at it and a GREAT friend. I miss him so so much! He was my surgeon and my friend for MANY years.

I knew Dr. Shibaro for 23 years at the Blvd. Medical Center where he had an office on the 5th floor, (the very first tenant in this building) I did a lot of work for him over the years after his retirement, he was a good friend.

Dear Stu,
We never met your dad, but wish we had. You are a wonderful young man and very dear to Marj, and we feel your sorrow through her. Our best to you in this difficult time. Norv said your father must have been a great guy because you are his reflection.
Love you,
Barbra & Norvell

Dr. Shibaro was my surgeon for over 20 years. We didn't only meet in the operating room, he also moniored me every six months. I loved going in for my visits. He was a great conversationist and he gave me advice about life as well. I used to see Stuart and Laila's photos on his bookcase right behind the patient chair. We used to talk about Jeb Stuart HS , Laila's dating days and Stuart's college and service days. He was immensely proud of you two.
He told me about growing up in Lebanon and medical school. When I got up to leave, he gave me a big bear hug and told me to behave myself.
When Dr. Shibaro retired, he gave me his home phone number and told me to call if I had any questions because he was turning me over to Dr. Franco. I wish I had picked up the phone and talked to him. He was a wonderful, funny, caring man and I will always remember him.
May you cherish the memories of your dad and I hope his grandchildren were able to spend lots of time with him.
Always,
Cheryl Costello
