Violeta Bosch Davis

Violeta Bosch Davis was born in 1932 in Flushing, NY and died on July 17, 2023. She grew up in New York City (NYC), attended Catholic girls' schools, and graduated from Manhattanville College in New York. While at college she met Larry Davis, a Plebe at West Point, and they were married in 1954 at the West Point Catholic Chapel. Vi and Larry had five children, and were married for 52 years. An Army family, they moved 19 times and lived in 10 different states and Germany. Vi took care of the children when Larry fought in Vietnam for two tours. During this time, she was an active artist and sold over 800 paintings in Virginia and Washington, DC.

Vi taught Catholic Education at various Catholic Church's while the children were growing up, and was especially proud to have been a volunteer Spanish Interpreter for the Alexandria Police Department for ten years. She was also active in the USMA Class of 1953 alumni activities.

After Larry retired from the Army, Vi started a office furnishing business which was active for eight years. Larry passed away in 2002 and rests in Arlington National Cemetery where Vi will be interred.

Vi is survived by her children, Marnie, Ralph, Bob, Ann, Steve, their respective spouses, Bob Ward, Dawn Davis, and Diane Davis, and three grandchildren, Huckleberry, Katie, and Mathew.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023 at the Everly Wheatley Funeral Home.

A funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, 4401 Sano St, Alexandria, VA.

Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, at a date to be announced.
