W. Flaherty Obituary

FLAHERTY W. ROGER FLAHERTY (Age 87) WILLARD ROGER FLAHERTY, passed away June 13, 2009. Born October 1921, he was the son of the late Willard Roger, Sr. and Cornelia Elizabeth Flaherty. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Louise Ensign and son, William Roger. Surviving is his son, Robert Allen, wife Roni, and grandchildren; Robert Allen II, Victoria Nicole, Veronica Alexandra and Roman Aaron of Apex, North Carolina. Also surviving is his beloved granddaughter, Wendy Flaherty Cowger, husband Ivan, and great-grandchildren; Morgan Royal, Catherine Lizabeth and Ivan Marsh IV of Fredericksburg, Virginia. A lifelong resident of Bethesda, Maryland and owner of Floor Covering Resources in Kensington, he spent the last three years in North Carolina. A 1 p.m. graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, Maryland. Memorial donations may be made to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, 2700 F Street NW, Washington, DC 20566 where he and his late wife spent many pleasurable evenings. "For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains"
