Saying that I love you just isn't enough. I never imagined having to endure a world without you, spending my days and nights alone, yearning for a call or text from you, wanting to kiss your cheek, and hold you tight. You gave me everything that you had to give and tried to give me more. I heard Stevie's 'Never Dreamed You'd Leave in Summer' this morning and it made me feel like the world was ending inside of my chest. I will always love and adore you. You took my last name, you absorbed my pain and disappointments in life, you lifted me up when I was too weak to stand, you nurtured my Blackness in a society that seemed to dismiss it daily. I hope and pray that I gave you the same type of joy and happiness that you gave me. I still watch our bedroom door and hope that you'll walk in with that beautiful smile and arms open wide. The strength that I have to persevere through all of this pain; it came from you. I saw you fight every day through the pain and suffering of your illness, and I know that you're whispering to me that I can make it. I'm trying. I'm trying. Our love still grows in spite of the barrier between time and eternity. I'll be loving you every second of every day.

Yolanda, my girl. I just learned of your passing today. I rarely get on fb but i logged in tonight and went to your page and saw that God called you home. I remember the first day we met at Roger B Taney middle school. We instantly became friends then later learned we were neighbors. You were the sweetest person ever and i made sure to protected you from anyone messing with you. We lost touch over the years until my sister ran into you at my niece school. I am truly going to miss you. I wish i could have had more time with you.

Yodie.... I smile at the countless conversations we would have, the giggles and straight up holla till your side hurt laughs we would share. I remember the times we would talk so long that Will would cross my mind and I would ask about him in a panic (so as not to intrude upon your time together) and you would assure me that it was ok and that "Will is right here". I remember how we would cry tears of pain and joy. I remember how we would encourage each other and fight for one another. I remember how you would say some of the craziest things...Bust out laughing...And then have the nerve to insist that I was the crazy one! Lol Then we would blame our antics on the fact that we were both Virgos... Lol. Before you left our office to go to Headquarters, you hand wrote a note and gave it to me. To this day it's still is on my pod wall. It simply says, "Don't cast your pearls before swine". I see it every time I'm in the office. We had a whole conversation about it. I thanked you then and I thank you now. Soooooo many good times. Laughing about the kids, etc.. I could go on and on. But I won't. However, I will conclude with this. The love for your family and friends was undeniable. You said to me on more than one occasion, "T, I believe Will and I are to have a marriage ministry". Well, sweetie, YOU DID! You were waiting on it to look one way, (such as standing before a classroom of couples) but your love, respect and support of one another on display for the world to see and model was your marriage ministry in living color. Thank you for your obedience my friend. Well done! I love you. Until......T

Hey babe, it's me again. I want you to know how much I love and miss you today. I think about you day and night. This pain is so incredible that sometimes it's hard to breathe. I really need to talk to you, see your smile, laugh with you, walk with you. I could have never imagined that you would be gone so soon. I'm trying not to be selfish and to be thankful to God that you're no longer suffering, but it's really tough. I want you to know that I'm fighting through all of this for our family. That's what you would want me to do. I will love you always and forever.

Hey babe, I still remember the first time that I saw you. We looked at each other and we both couldn't help smiling. The attraction was immediate and I knew that I had to say something. I'm so thankful that the two of us experienced something that many in the world never will. True love. The story of your love, compassion, kindness, dedication, and sacrifice is worth being told for generations. I love you with every ounce of my being and you will be a part of me until I take my very last breath in this life. I would give all for just one more long embrace, one more kiss, one more conversation. But He is loving you and taking care of you in ways that I never could. I've asked Him to tell you how much I love you, but I understand that you both may be a bit occupied. Life is a lot different now. The days are colder and less sunny without your laughter, without your smile. Your friends and family miss you incredibly and loved you more than I ever realized. I hope that you know how special you are to all of us. I'll be back here to chat again soon. I love you baby!

Thought about you this week. Saw that you hadn't responded to my 40th birthday invite and realized, you wouldn't be attending. I regret not making time to hang and rekindle. Sometimes people think that life will wait. This is the perfect example to make time for what is important in your life. Time waits for no one. Love you Yo-Yo.

RIP Yolanda. What I loved about her was her positive spirit and positive attitude. She was a giant in her own right! She knew I was having some serious health issues and she always told me she kept me in her prayers. From earth to glory...til we meet again! Much Love. Min Majors

My dear friend. You came into my life at a time when I feel we needed to be able to crutch on and encourage each other. We were both young married ladies and stay at home moms so needles to say we were each other's outlet and backbone. Through my struggles and through my hardships you were always there. I wish I hand known of your sufferings so I could have been there for you as you were for me even as recently as last year when you supported me through one of the scariest experiences as a mother of teenage black boys. No matter how far we were or how much time past between our talks you were still My Dear Friend. I will love you always.

My condolence to the Reynolds family. Yolanda will truly be missed. She is absent from the body but present with the Lord. Yolanda is smiling down on us. Even though our time together was short I will always remember our laughter in the office, our talks about Lupus, life, fashion and life. Be encouraged. Forever in my prayers.
