Sharon Dalrymple

1943 - 2025

Sharon Dalrymple, 82, of Sun City, AZ, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025. She was born on May 14, 1943, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Harold and Madelyn (Youngblut) Frost.

Sharon graduated from Columbus Catholic High School in 1961. On September 5, 1969, she married her husband, Dean Dalrymple, of nearly 59 years.

She began her successful career in retail at Black's Department Store. She soon became a buyer at Black's and enjoyed her buying trips to New York, City. In 1976 she fulfilled her dream of owning and operating her own clothing business, Les Dolls. Sharon had a gift of helping women feel confident and stylish. After selling her business in the 1990's, she continued to work in fashion retail with Brookeridge, Seifert's, and Younkers.

Known for her quick wit, winning smile, and unique laugh, Sharon enjoyed playing cards, fishing, conversing, food, reading, hosting gatherings, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. After retiring to Arizona, she remained active in her community of Paradise. She volunteered at food banks and with the clothing drive at Radiant Church.

Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Dean; her sons Andy (Becky), Joel (Lisa), Jeff (Tanya), Hoang (Thao), and foster son Tony (Giao). Her grandchildren Adam, Allison, Andrew, Madilyn, Benjamin, Scott, Gabryel, Liam, Grace, Justin, Caleb, and Helena. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings Mike (Cindy), Mark, and Sheila Frost (David Shaffer). She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Madelyn Frost, and her sister, Vicki Klein.

Sharon will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her generosity, and her unwavering love for her family. She touched countless lives with her warmth and laughter, and her legacy will live on in all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause close to her heart.
