William "Bill" Francis Zuck

William "Bill" Francis Zuck, 75, of Waterloo, IA passed away peacefully on January 17, 2024 while in the comfort of his own home under hospice care.
William Francis Zuck was born on May 25, 1948 in Waterloo, IA to his parents, Merle Zuck Sr. and Clementine (Reiter) Zuck. He married Martha Dumer on October 19, 1968 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cedar Falls, IA.
Bill worked for John Deere from July of 1972 until his retirement in October of 2007. Bill was a great father who enjoyed being a part of the boy scouts when his sons were involved as well as attending any of his kids or grandkids sporting events. Bill loved all sports but he was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed spending the summers and making memories with his family at their cabin in La Porte City. Bill was a great man and will be truly missed by all of those that knew him.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Martha of Waterloo; one daughter, Libby (Jeremy) Myli of Des Moines; three sons, Robert (Rhonda) Zuck of Erie, IL, Trevor Zuck and Cody Zuck both of Waterloo; seven grandchildren: Steven Siino of Alamo, California, Hannah, Emma, Grace and Sophia Myli of Des Moines, Kaylee and William Zuck of Shell Rock; three brothers, Steve, Mike and Keith Zuck and one sister, Sharon Freeman.
He is preceded in death by one son, Timothy Zuck; his parents; three brothers, Merle Jr., Tom and Rod Zuck and four sisters: Peggy Kyle, Sandy Dirkes, Becky Blackmar and Karen Zuck.
Public visitation for Bill will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service South Street located at 400 South Street, Waterloo, IA 50701. There will be a 7:00 p.m. vigil service. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a one hour visitation prior to services. I spend my summers up the road from Bill and Martha at the river..they frequently walked to my place to visit..most of the time bill dressed in his KC gear..Bill and I would share a cold one ..and often when he left I´d send one for the road for him..Bill was a decent man and will be missed..so bill here´s one for the road..god bless you and your family
