Jacqueline Williams 58 of Florence, Massachusetts was born in Bronx-New York on October 6, 1966. Sadly she departed this life on Friday August 15th, 2025, under medical care surrounded by her loving family. Jackie spent her years living in many places, including New York, North Carolina, Florida, Massachusetts and Maine.
In 1982 she met her first love, married one year later in 1983. They had their first child in 1986 and second child in 1987. In 1995 she met her partner who she would spend the rest of her life loving and caring for one another.
Jackie's life was full, she experienced life across the spectrum. From the glitz and glamor of it all to a more simple life in a small town. Early on with such beauty and determination she had inspirations of being a fashion model.
She had many careers including a line cook and caterer. She had a passion for cooking from home style southern cooking for her family to well presented and prepared food for clients. She also worked in many healthcare facilities and settings as medication technician, behavioral health specialist and home care aide. She spent many years volunteering for the Red Cross ministries of Southern Maine as a treasurer and donation coordinator. She had a passion for people, not as a career, but she found herself many times caring for or helping people who needed it the most.
Jackie loved fashion and music. She would gather her nieces and nephews to do their own fashion shows in her home. Donning them with furs, high fashion, jewelry and then showing them how to walk "the runway." She enjoyed arts and crafts. She would paint and create characters. She also loved reading and writing. Her favorite author was Stephen King and one of her favorite books was Angela's Ashes. She enjoyed watching horror movies, specifically Japanese horror. She loved to read about and watch different cultures and places around the world, from traveling food documentaries to tribal rituals of indigenous villages.
To cherish her memory she is survived by her loving partner Peter Duncan of 30 years; 2 sons Wilfred Changasie Jr. (Monae Changasie) of Tampa, FL and Wilshon Changasie of Portland, ME; brothers Randy Williams (Angela Williams) of
Springfield, MA; Edward Williams of Hartford, CT; Alice Williams (Paul Walski) of
Springfield, MA, Frances Milliner of Bayonne, NJ; 3 grandchildren, Jakobe Changasie, Julian Changasie and Mya Changasie.
Jackie was predeceased by her Parents Moses and Fannie Williams, brothers Emmanuel Williams, Pete Smith, John Smith, Reginald Williams, sisters Patricia Williams, Barbara Benjamin and nephew Raymond Williams. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She will be forever in our hearts and missed dearly.
