Robert Skinner Obituary

Robert Edward "Bob" Skinner, Pomona, Mo., died peacefully the morning of Nov. 17, 2023, at NHC HealthCare in West Plains, Mo. He was 83 years old.

Mr. Skinner was born May 23, 1940, to Henry and Zora (Mullins) Skinner.

On May 29, 1960, he was married to Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Godat, and to this marriage three daughters were born, Bobbie Ann, Sophia and Allison.

He was a bricklayer by trade and worked from the time he was 13 until his retirement at 73. He loved to fish, hunt, bowl and do chores on the family farm. He loved his family deeply and will be forever missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and all of his eight siblings: brothers Bud and Tom, and sisters Helen, Edith, Francis, Deloris, Wilma and Rosemary.

Mr. Skinner is survived by his wife, Beth Skinner, and his daughters Bobbie Ann and husband Ron Leggins, Hollister, Mo., Sophia Skinner and Allison Skinner, both of West Plains; grandson Jon and wife Danielle Leggins, and granddaughter Emily and husband Alan Peña, all of Missouri; great-grandchildren Nora Leggins, Oliver Peña and Artemis Peña; and his nieces and nephews he loved dearly.

His wishes were to be donated to Genesis for medical research and no services are planned at this time.

All my love to Aunt Beth and the girls. Uncle Bob always made time to take me hunting and fishing when I was very young and mostly just in the way. He taught me much through his love of the outdoors and the memories will always remain very special.
