Dean Fugate

Dean Fugate, 73, of Wolcottville, Indiana died Sunday, August 10, 2025, at his residence with his family at his side. He was born October 10, 1951, in Darfork, Perry County, Kentucky to Leonard and Luvernia (Patrick) Fugate Mr. Fugate retired from the recreational vehicle manufacturing industry as a fiberglass technician. Dean enjoyed mowing his grass, muscle cars especially Mopar, working, riding his motorcycle when he was able, crossword puzzles, watching Westerns, especially Gunsmoke, and eating honey buns and Little Debbie's. He loved his family, especially his sons, grandchildren and his great-grandson. He had a special place in his heart for his grandson, Jace. His last wish was to see him again before he passed, but didn't get that wish. Surviving are two sons, Jeremy Fugate and Robbie Fugate both of Wolcottville; three grandchildren, Robert Fugate of Tennessee, Mya Fugate of Wolcottville, and Jace Allett-Fugate of Michigan; a great-grandson, Crue Fugate; his companion, Mylea Morgan of Wolcottville; a sister, Eva Hochstetler of Goshen; a brother and sister-in-law, HB and Imogene Fugate of Rome City; and his best friend, Junior Hicks of Rome City. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 6 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Wade Sturdivant officiating. Visitation will also be on Thursday beginning at 4 p.m. until the funeral service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
