Alfred Kemmler of Warminster, PA passed away on January 22nd, 2025. He was 95 years old. Alfred was the devoted husband of 74 years to his high school sweetheart Bernice. He is survived by his children Linda Kemmler Ross and husband Donald of Abington PA, David A. Kemmler and wife Joyce (nee Papavero) of Collingswood NJ, and Timothy A. Kemmler and wife Brenda (nee Hammond) of West Chester PA; and his grandchildren Thomas D. Ross of Abington (Jessica his wife, Rosalind, Everett and Owen), William A. Ross of Charlotte NC (Kelli his wife, Amos, Lucas, Samuel and Phoebe), Stefanie K. Anderko (Douglas her husband, Sadie and Laura) of Exton, Julie K. Kohn (Westley) of West Chester PA, Alexander Kemmler (Grace, his wife) of Phoenixville.
Born in 1929, Alfred was the son of Alfred and Elsie (Wenger) of Philadelphia. A graduate of Olney High School, Alfred entered the U.S. Army in 1947 and served in the Armory at Fort Knox, Kentucky until 1951.
Alfred began his career with the Bell Telephone Company of Philadelphia and remained in their employment until retirement in 1989.
He filled his leisure time with his family, music and baseball, and was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Phillies. Along with choir work in his church, he sang Tenor in the Berachah Quartet which traveled in the region singing Gospel music at church services and Christian conferences for many years. Alfred served the Lord faithfully at his church and was a member of the Protestant Council for the Chapel at Ann's Choice for a number of years.
Later in life, he enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing pool at which he became very skilled. His idea of a great Saturday afternoon would be eating a hoagie while sitting on the couch in front of the television watching the Phillies win a game with extra innings.or better yet, a double header.
Relatives and friends are invited to Alfred's Visitation on Thursday February 6th, 2025 from 9:30 AM until the time of his funeral service at 10:30 AM at The Chapel At Ann's Choice 30000 Ann's Choice Way Warminster, PA 18974.
