David Lee Hoyt, Sr. David Lee Hoyt, Sr., 82, of Upper Saucon Township, passed away on August 19, 2025 under hospice care at Lehigh Valley Health Network, Salisbury Township. He was the loving husband of JoAnn (Holl) Hoyt. They would have been married for 53 years on August 25, 2025. After retiring, David also drove a school bus for Palisades School District. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Jack G. Hoyt, Sr. and the late Marion (Merkle) Hoyt. David's passions included: model trains, golf, fishing, and was someone who loved nature and animals. David would visit Animals In Distress frequently and has adopted many cats over the years. Those who knew David, know of his many feeders around his home to feed the birds, squirrels, deer, and other wildlife that frequented their neighborhood. He was also a huge sports fan who rarely missed an Eagles, Phillies, or 76ers game. We can't forget to mention his beloved Temple Owls or Bloomsburg Huskies football programs.
