Dottie Kreger

Dorothea "Dottie" E. Kreger, 92, of Kunkletown, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Getz Personal Care Home. Born in Kresgeville, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Griffith) Haydt. She was the loving wife of the late Mitchell W. Kreger with whom she shared 69 years of marriage. Dottie was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards and working on jigsaw puzzles. She was on the Fellowship Committee at Jerusalem UCC and dedicated much of her time to the church. She was also a member of the Polk Township Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Dottie will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. Dottie is survived by her daughters: Suzanne Kresge and her partner, Mark of Stroudsburg; and Melissa Daycock and her husband, David of Boise, ID; sister-in-law: MerylAnn DePue and her partner, John of Kresgeville; four grandchildren: Karey, Ryan, Abigail. and Isabelle; and three great-grandchildren: Matthew, Johnny, and Noah. Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her two sons: Lance Leslie Kreger and Dean David Kreger. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30th, from 10:00 A.M- 11:00 A.M. at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Rt. 209, Brodheadsville, with a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Marian Johnson officiating. A burial of cremated remains will follow at Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery, Trachsville.
