Ethel Daderko

Ethel Daderko, 102, of Summit Hill, passed away on Monday, Aug. 18, 2025 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Michael Daderko. Born in St. Clair, PA, she was the daughter of the late Vasil and Paraskevia (Panchar) Draovitch. Ethel worked at the former Loomtogs Garment Factory in Summit Hill as a seamstress and was a devoted homemaker for her family. She was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Lansford having been a longtime choir member. Ethel was also very active in the Ladies Guild of the Church as well as in the Church's Paska Bread Baking Group and Pierogi Baking Group. Surviving are her Daughters, Michele McKenzie and her husband Gregory of Harleysville and Melanie Gilbert and her husband Richard of Summit Hill; Grandchildren, Tamara Hartman and her husband Brad of Maryland, Christopher McKenzie and his wife Emma of Philadelphia and Michael Gilbert and his wife Eileen of Woodstock, GA and Melissa Gilbert of Summit Hill; Great Grandchildren, Bryce, Charlotte, Graham, Mason, Knox and Colbie. Ethel was the last surviving member of her siblings of 11. Funeral Service is on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025 at 11 a.m. from St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 125 W. Bertsch St., Lansford with the Rev. Joseph Fester officiating. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Orthodox Cemetery, Hometown. Calling Hours are Saturday morning from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
