Joseph A. Pizzico

Joseph A. Pizzico, 96, of Conshohocken, died on August 18, 2025 after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy E. (Detweiler) Pizzico. He was born in Norristown, PA on June 16, 1929 to the late Vincenzo Pizzico and Milanda (Muscatella) Pizzico-Troilo. Joe was raised in Norristown and went to Norristown schools. He later trained and self-learned carpentry. He was a well-known and talented craftsman, carpenter, and cabinetmaker who worked in the surrounding area, working with and teaching his sons in their younger years, until his retirement well into his 80's. Joe volunteered within the community and was a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scout Troop from SS. Cosmas and Damian Church in Conshohocken. He enjoyed good times and holidays with his friends and family, and an occasional trip to the casino. Joe is survived by 3 children Joseph D. Pizzico and Joann of Plymouth Meeting, Linda Fackler of Plymouth Meeting, David J. Pizzico and Fran of Conshohocken, a daughter-in-law Carolyn Bondra, 9 grandchildren David Pizzico, Jr. (Randi), Laury Raiken (Michael), Jackie Bald (Craig), Timmy Fackler (Romina), James Fackler, Robert Pizzico (Meagan), Elizabeth Fackler, Jeffrey Gemi (Ashley), Allie Pizzico (Chris), and 15 great-grandchildren Bria, Patrick, Nathan, Julia, Ellie, Ella, Grant, Jaxon, Dempsey, Hartlee, Maryn, Barrett, Ozzy, Jeffrey, and Nicholas, 2 step-grandchildren Libby and Henry, brothers Vincent Pizzico, Larry Troilo and Richard Troiolo, and nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his son Robert J. Pizzico, brothers Alfonso Pizzico, John Troilo, Michael Troilo, sisters Catherine Pizzico and Rose Cressman. Relatives and friends are invited to a Viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025 at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 516 Fayette St., Conshohocken, PA. Interment will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery.
