Josephine A. Ball

Josephine Ann Ball, born to Joseph and Ella Mildred Ryales on a brisk March morning, March 2, 1934 in Abington, Pennsylvania. Josephine grew up with love and laughter in Ambler alongside her five siblings.
Sometime in the early 1950's she joined hands in marriage with Charles Ball Jr. "Hookie", building a life grounded in faith, family, and love. Their union was blessed with three children: Charles "Ellis", Kenneth and Shirlene.
A devoted servant of the Lord, Josephine found her spiritual purpose early in life. She dedicated many years to Zion Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the usher board and remained an active member of the Interested Retired Seniors Group finding fellowship, joy, and continued purpose among her peers in faith.
Josephine lent her hands and heart to Narco in Fort Washington, AEL, and finally to the cafeteria at Wissahickon High School, where her warm smile and kind spirit nourished more than just appetites.
Her hands were never idle-whether cheering on her favorite team, crafting beauty from thread and needle, or caring for those around her.
Josephine's legacy lives on in her children, Charles "Ellis" and Shirlene; her granddaughter Jasmine and husband Isaiah Moore; her brother Charles F. Ryales Sr and Wife, Nannie Ryales.; nieces, nephews, host of cousins, friends and the many whose lives she touched with her grace and kindness.
She reunites in eternal peace with her husband Charles, her beloved son Kenneth, and her siblings Joseph, Tommy, Dorothy, and Virginia.
The Ball family extends heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of love and support.
