Karen King Obituary

Karen M. King, 77, of Lower Saucon Township - Bethlehem, passed away on Monday evening, December 30, 2024, after a brief illness in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the loving wife of William "Bill" King with whom she shared over 48 years of marriage. Born in Altoona PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Betty (Lebo) Haney. Karen loved shopping traveling and feeding the animals in her yard, but most of all she loved her family. Karen graduated from Mansfield State college in 1969. She spent 33 years teaching special education in Saucon Valley School District and at retirement she became a dedicated grandmother to Cavan and Iz. Karen donated her organs to The Gift of Life donor program. Survivors: in addition to her husband Bill, she is also survived by her daughter, Christy (fiance' Robby Hoppes) of Upper Saucon Township, and 2 grandchildren, Cavan and Iz. Services: Viewing and services will be private for family only. Arrangements entrusted to JAMES FUNERAL HOME, Bethlehem. Contributions: In memory of Karen, contributions may be made to "Transplant Foundation" at Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 N. 3rd. St., Philadelphia, PA 19123.
