Melanie Nolan Obituary

Melanie K. (Rowe) Nolan, 55, passed away on June 17, 2025. Born on February 14, 1970, in Reading, she was the daughter of Joan (Rowley) and the late Melvin "Mickey" Rowe. She graduated from Wilson High School, and Reading Area Community, where she studied to help those struggling with addiction. Melanie was a member of Glad Tidings Church. She was a homemaker for many years. She enjoyed various crafting activities, especially making collages and scrapbooking. She also had an immense love for animals and would help care for them whenever able. Melanie always looked forward to spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her love of God, kind heart and caring spirit. In addition to her mother, Joan, Melaine's memory will be cherished by her daughter, Samantha Nolan; her grandchildren: Aymen Aviles, Nora Kochel, and Montana Kochel; and her brother, Michael Rowe; her nephew, Michael Brandon; as well as her beloved dog, Baby. In addition to her father, Mickey, she joins in Heaven her grandparents, Thomas and Dorothy Mae Rowley; and her uncles, Dennis Rowley, and Thomas Rowley, Jr.; as well as her angel dogs, Max and Joey. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Glad Tidings at 1110 Snyder Rd, Reading, PA 19609. Friends and family may gather beginning at 6 p.m. The service will begin at 6:40 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Melanie's honor to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County at https://berksarl.org/. Edward J. Kuhn is honored to serve Melanie's family. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
