Michael Charles Bartholomew

Michael C. Bartholomew, 73, of Red Hill and formerly of Boyertown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Raymond and Marie (Beckett) Bartholomew. Michael was the beloved husband of Barbara (Schwenk) Bartholomew, with whom he shared many meaningful years. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for Blommer Chocolate Company in East Greenville for over 20 years. Michael was also a proud member of the Red Hill Fire Company, where he gave his time and heart to his community. Michael had a gift for finding joy in the simple things and had many hobbies that brought him purpose and pride. He loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, puzzles, bird watching, and making others laugh with his playful spirit. He especially treasured family vacations-most of all, the time spent in the Outer Banks, creating memories that will last a lifetime. He was known for his strong work ethic, generous heart, and deep resilience. No matter what life threw his way, he never let it slow him down. He was a faithful member of Calvary Bible Church in Oley, and his quiet strength and unwavering faith left a lasting example to those who knew him. Michael's greatest joy was his family. Along with his wife, Barbara, he is survived by his children: Kimberly Hoot and her husband James of Lake Ariel, PA; Michael Bartholomew and his wife Heather of Boyertown; and Katie Krause and her partner Sutton Grater of Boyertown. He was a proud Pop Pop to his grandchildren: Branden, Kyle, Aaron, Elijah, Marlee, Sadie, Callie, Richard, and Alex. He is also survived by his siblings: Joyce VanKirk, David, Eddie, and Steven Bartholomew. Michael was preceded in death by his brothers: Raymond, George, and Bill Bartholomew. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in the Community Room of The Villas at Red Hill, 509 Singer Way, Red Hill, PA 18076. Guests are welcome to arrive beginning at 10:30 AM. Pastor Fred Bell will speak at 11:00 AM, followed by a lunch gathering. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's name may be made to Red Corner Benefit, a local organization supporting children and families facing pediatric cancer-carrying on Michael's spirit of compassion and care.
