Richard Tews Obituary

Richard Stanley Tews, 69, of Allentown, PA passed away on August 14, 2025 in his home. Born in 1955 in Allentown, he was the son of the late Warren Fredrick Tews and Betty Jane Wetherhold. Over the years Rick, as he was known to friends and family, worked for a variety of companies including Trumbauer Sanitation, TBA, Saab, Caterpillar Logistics, and NAPA Auto Parts, where he retired from in 2023. In his spare time, he enjoyed trips to the Allentown Farmers Market with his daughter and granddaughters, and listening to music at local night clubs and in the peace of his home. Rick was predeceased by his parents along with his sisters, Emily and Patricia, and their brother, Robert who passed away in February of 2025. Rick is survived by his only daughter, Pamela, his two beloved granddaughters Siobhan and Rosalina, and his soon to be born great-grandson Alexander. In addition to his immediate family and their respective partners, he is survived by his former wife Jody, his brother Nelson, former sister-in-law Mary Lou, former brother-in-law and close friend, John, and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations in Rick's honor be made to one of his favorite charities: City Limits Assembly of God Food Bank in Allentown or to the Lehigh County Humane Society. Services for Rick are private. Please contact Rick's daughter Pamela for information regarding services.
