Robert Reiss Obituary

Robert E. Reiss, Jr. 98, of Macungie died December 29, 2024. Born in Fountain Hill on October 11, 1926, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Mamie I. (Ebert) Reiss, Sr. In his early work life, he was a machinist with the Bethlehem Foundry. Robert was Chief of Police for Salisbury Township 1958-1975 and finished his working life as a machinist with Bridesburg Foundry. He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ of Allentown. Survivors: Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Jane and Raymond Allamong, Cheryl and Stephen Russo, 6 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, family, and friends. Robert was predeceased by wife Evelyn (Oswald) Reiss, special friend Charlotte Wolfe, sons, Richard, Edward and Kenneth, a granddaughter, and a great-granddaughter. Services: 1:15 pm Friday, Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Rd., Allentown 18106. Call 12:15 – 1:15 pm Friday in the funeral home. www.stephensfuneral.com. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Contributions: in lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to Grace UCC of Allentown, 623 Cleveland St., Allentown, PA 18103
