Ronald Rosario Obituary

Ronald "Ron" Joseph Rosario, 66, of Stroudsburg, passed away unexpectedly late Friday August 8, 2025 after a brief sudden illness. He was the husband of Kim N. (Albert) Rosario with whom he shared 20 years of marriage. Born on March 11, 1959 in San Diego, CA, to the late Vicente Rosario Jr. and Maria (Velazquez) Munez, and was blessed from an early age to also be loved and raised by the late Ignacio Munez. He was predeceased by two brothers, infant Javier Rosario and Marco Munez. In addition to his wife, he is survived and missed by four daughters, Cassandra N. Smelko (Joshua) of Stroudsburg, Caitlyn M. Rosario of Cresco, Chelsea J. Rosario of Stroudsburg, Carol K. O'Neil (Patrick) of Pittsburgh; grandson, Declan J. O'Neil; two siblings, Michael Rosario and Estella Rosario both of Oxnard, CA. He will also be remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, close family and friends, including the mother of Cassandra and Caitlyn. After graduating from Rio Mesa High School in El Rio, CA, he enlisted and served as a scout in the U.S. Army, stationed in Colorado Springs, CO; and Schweinfurt, Germany. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he moved back home to Oxnard, CA where he worked as a painter for 3 years. He later moved to Stroudsburg, where he worked for Automated Door and Gutter before beginning his career at E&E Gutters & Downspouts, eventually purchasing the company from the original owners in 1990. He affectionately became known as 'The Gutter Man', serving so many in the Poconos and beyond. What Ron loved most was spending time with his family. Through the years, Ron enjoyed listening to R&B music, the beach, attending sports games, his '78 black Camaro, western movies and enjoying delicious food, especially his 5 lb lobsters. He was not only an athlete who loved playing golf and basketball, but also enjoyed watching sports. A forever fan of the Lakers, 49ers and other CA teams, and later the Steelers. Ron had a smile that could brighten even the dullest day, filling every room with warmth. Though he enjoyed visiting many casinos, it was at Mount Airy Casino Resort where he found not just friends, but a second family who held a special place in his heart. There will be a viewing Friday, August 22nd, from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. Services will be held on Saturday, August 23rd, at the funeral home with the viewing to begin at 10:00am and to be followed by a formal prayer service at 1:00pm with Deacon Kevin Scheirer officiating. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and honor his memory. The family will be hosting a celebration of life at their home after, as Ron would have wanted everyone to "have a party" in his remembrance. Private arrangements will follow.
