Taki Olock Obituary

Taki Alexander Olock, 44, of Pottstown, PA, passed away unexpectedly on August 18, 2025. Born in Pottstown on June 16, 1981, Taki was the son of the late Joseph T. Olock and M. Cristina (Eliades) Kane. Taki attended Pottstown High School and was a gifted athlete from an early age. He played t-ball and football, swam at SunnyBrook, and had a lifelong love of sports of all kinds. He was also a devoted Phillies fan. In his younger years, he enjoyed skateboarding, and throughout his life he loved walking and staying active. He also had a passion for collecting shoes-especially Jordans-and took pride in keeping every pair perfect, never creased. He always dressed well, often in a clean, crisp white t-shirt or a thin striped polo. He was known as a hardworking and multi-talented man, a true jack of all trades. Over the years, Taki held many jobs and most recently worked in landscaping. He had a wide range of skills and was never afraid to take on something new. Growing up, Taki spent many fond days at Zern's and loved visiting the beach. A foodie at heart, he was always eager to try new things-never afraid to taste something unusual, like chicken gizzards. Music was another of his passions; from grunge and classic rock to rap, he loved all genres and always had something playing. Friends and family often laughed about the way Taki had his own unique "text language" that no one ever fully understood, though everyone tried to decipher it. A true extrovert, he always seemed to know someone everywhere he went and was quick to strike up a conversation, leaving an impression wherever life took him. Taki is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Alizè Olock and Gracie Olock; his sister and brother-in-law, Jamie and Zach Lepore; his nephews, Rhodes and Briggs; his girlfriend, Nina Angelucci; and the mother of Alizè, Ashley Tirado. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A Life Celebration will follow at 6:00 p.m. Guests are invited to come dressed in their favorite "Taki era" style-whether it be Phillies gear to honor his love of sports or simply something comfortable that reminds them of him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Taki's memory to Animal House Project, in honor of his love for animals and the kindness and care he always showed them.
