Yaroslav Kaminsky Obituary

Yaroslav Kaminsky, 89, of Oak Hill, VA, died Thursday, May 29, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Chaimson) Kaminsky. Born November 3, 1935 in Poland, he was a son of the late Right Reverend Konstantin and Vera (Larin-Kuznetsova) Kaminsky. Mr. Kaminsky was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral in Washington, DC. He was employed as an electrical engineer with the MITRE Corporation for many years, specializing in satellite technology. Earlier in life, he was an avid table tennis player. Yaroslav will be remembered for the love and care he provided his family and friends. He always put others before himself. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Alexandra Babbitt (Thomas) of Virginia Beach, Katherine Kaminsky of Oak Hill, and Natalie Watson (Mark) of Stephens City, VA; three grandchildren, Christopher, Nicole, and Marina; and a brother, Sergi Kaminsky (Linnea) of Cincinnati, OH. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Kaminsky; and brother, George Kaminsky. Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2025 at St. Philip Orthodox Church, 1970 Clearview Road, Souderton, PA, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the adjacent cemetery. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
